Quality aquatic, physical education & recreation programs.
Services for children, adults, groups, schools & OSHC centres

Get Set & Go! (Australia) provides the following services for schools:

A) Aquatics Program

Our Aquatics Program comprises:

(i) Swimming - Stages of development

  1. Water Confidence
  2. Learn to Swim
  3. Stroke Correction
  4. Stroke Training
  5. Starts, Finishes & Turns

(ii) Life Saving - Stages of development

  1. Water Discovery
  2. Water Awareness
  3. Water Sense
  4. Water Wise
  5. Swim and Survive

(iii) "Wet Games"- a collection of co-operative games and activities that reinforce swimming and life-saving motor skills.

The Program will provide a balance between swimming, lifesaving and "wet games", however where children are more competent in swimming, a greater emphasis will be placed on advanced life-saving skills.

There will be a minimum of three Physical Education teachers and student teachers from Get Set & Go! (Australia) to plan, implement and evaluate the Aquatics Program during terms 1 & 4. For example: Each class is divided into three ability groups to enable all children to be challenged and learn skills of swimming with peers of their own ability.

Small learning groups enable a greater number of children's needs to be accommodated. The lower ability swimmers can learn in a non-threatening and non-competitive environment. The more proficient swimmers can be further challenged through stroke correction and life saving.

B) Physical Education Programs

Our Physical Education Program provides a minimum of two Physical Education Teachers and student Teachers from Get Set & Go! (Australia) to plan, implement and evaluate your school's physical education program.

The program content is determined through close consultation with teachers, children, parents and the school administration to provide a program pertinent to the learners.

The Get Set & Go! (Australia) Physical Education Program enables all children - beginners and advanced - to experience both success and challenge.

Classroom teachers are provided with follow-up lessons, teaching points and whole class activity cards that require minimum organisation.

C) Skill Development Programs

Our Skill Development Program provides motor skills in selected units. It is generally conducted over a four or eight week period for selected grade/s within a school. The program is also suitable for coaching inter-school sport teams, representative track & field, and swimming teams.

D) School Swim Squads & Coaching

We can provide extra coaching for your school representative squads. Get Set & Go! (Australia) staff are highly qualified and can accommodate both beginner & elite swimmers.

E) Organisation of Special Events

We can assist with the overall organisation of your sporting events - such as athletics and swimming carnivals - including program preparation and publication. Regular consultation with school administrators, teachers and children ensure school expectations are met.

F) Classroom Teacher In-Service (Professional Development)
